People’s Medical Legal Collaborative
We bear witness to harm when it matters most
We are a volunteer-run, multi-institutional clinic providing pro bono forensic evaluations, clinical testimony, and case management for people seeking asylum and people who are detained or incarcerated. We also train the next generation of clinicians to do this work, and support our legal partners with clinical consultation.
“Volunteering with PMLC has been a great way to learn more about the medical-legal system and use my M.D. for good. It has felt really meaningful being able to support asylum seekers and folks experiencing incarceration. PMLC makes the training easy and gives step-by-step support in turning around affidavits for the legal team and their clients”
